Kennel Absolut Arete
Arete (Greek: ἀρετή), in its basic sense, means "excellence of any kind". The term may also mean "moral virtue". In its earliest appearance in Greek, this notion of excellence was ultimately bound up with the notion of the fulfillment of purpose or function: the act of living up to one's full potential. (Wikipedia).
This notion describes the South Russian Ovcharka as well. Absolute dedication, guarding and tendency to protect the own flock are ancient and traditional features of dogs.
Kennel Absolut Arete does not breed or engender
these dogs in an ordinary meaning, the real endeavor is to appreciate and
cherish this unfrequent breed inheritance. South Russian Ovcharka is quite different,
unlike most of modern dog breeds. Therefore it is unsuitable for most of modern dog
owners. But in a proper pack it is truly the most loyal and faithful companion, usually better than gold.
We hope to see this breed as rare and as original, as it is, in the future. The classic and sincere esteem that is bound to this breed is so unique and astonishing. It would be a true loss to blemish this exceptional and traditional heritage.
We take good care of our dogs and they take good care of us.
